The Action Bar is at the top of the main Accredo window. Type what you want to open or add, then press Enter. When the Action Bar is empty it shows Action (Ctrl-Alt-K). Press Ctrl+Alt+K from anywhere in Accredo to move the cursor to the Action Bar.
The Action Bar works only when a company is open. It offers only the modules that are installed and the records that your user permissions allow. You need Read permission to open a record, and Write permission to add one. Messages appear as a hint beside the Action Bar.
These are examples of what you can type.
Type |
Action |
Customer |
Opens the Customer list. |
Customer ASHENG |
Opens the Customer with the code ASHENG. |
Customer auckland |
Where the word does not match a Customer code, the Customer words are searched. Where one active Customer matches, that Customer opens. Where more than one Customer matches, the Customer opens with the Word Lookup showing the matches, so that you can select the one you want. The word auckland would probably match more than one Customer. |
Customer Contact smith |
Searches the Customer Contact words for smith. |
PO Orders |
Opens the Purchase Order list. Type the module code where the same name is used in more than one module. |
Add Invoice |
Opens a new Invoice, ready to enter. You can also type New, Insert or Create. |
Add Invoice for ASHENG |
Opens a new Invoice for the Customer ASHENG. |
Invoice 100426 |
Opens the Invoice with the Document No or Packing Slip No 100426. Where neither matches, the Invoice with the Invoice ID 100426 opens. |
Order |
Opens the Order list. |
Order 300001 |
Opens the Order with the Packing Slip No 300001. Where no packing slip number matches, the Order with the Order ID 300001 opens. |
Packing Slip 300001 |
Opens the Order with the Packing Slip No 300001. You cannot add a packing slip from the Action Bar, because a packing slip is generated when you supply an Order. |
ARTran 12345 |
Opens the AR transaction with the transaction ID 12345. |
ASHENG |
Opens the record with the code ASHENG from your default search table. Right-click the Action Bar and select Set Default Search Table to set which table this is. |
You do not have to type the module code unless the same name is used in more than one module. Plurals and extra words such as the, for and please are ignored. A shortened name of four or more letters is matched where it is not ambiguous, so cred finds Creditor.
You can type a table name in place of the name that appears on screen. For example, ARCUST ASHENG opens the same Customer as Customer ASHENG, and ICPROD opens the Product list. Type the table name in full, because a table name is not matched from its first few letters.
Where a word search finds more than one match, the form opens with the Word Lookup showing the matches, so that you can select the one you want. Where a Document No or Packing Slip No matches more than one document, a list of the matches appears for you to select from.
Select the + button at the right of the Action Bar to open the Quick-add menu. The menu is grouped by module, and shows only the records that your permissions allow you to add.
Right-click the Action Bar for these options.
